Terms of use
Last updated:
UNIVERZOOM is a free web app about the scale of the universe. The terms are short because the app has no accounts, asks nothing of you and keeps nothing about you.
What the app is
An interactive view of sizes from the Planck length to the edge of the observable universe. It runs entirely in your browser, with no sign-in and no paid tier.
How you may use it
Browse it, share links, project it in a classroom. Screenshots and links are free to use, including in teaching and in articles.
If you take an image or a number from the app, please credit the source: either UNIVERZOOM, or the original reference, which is listed for every value on the Sources page.
Accuracy of the numbers
Every value carries its source and disputed values are marked with a range and a badge. It is still a simplified model: do not use the app as a basis for scientific work, use the references it points to.
Availability
The app runs on a free hosting tier and may be unavailable or change without notice. Nobody is liable for damage caused by downtime or by an error in the data.
